‘Doing Too Much?’: Chris Rock In The Hot Seat Over Offensive Tweet
Comedian Chris Rock apparently had more than enough to say about the independence holiday so much so, his latest tweet in reference to the fourth-of-July holiday wasn’t so funny to the folks outside of the black community. Rock tweeted: “Happy white peoples independence day the slaves weren’t free but I’m sure they enjoyed fireworks.” Of course most if not a huge amount of Rock’s fans thought it was funny and shrugged it off as him being his usual self, others such as many [media outlets] thought otherwise. According to (urbandaily.com) these many media outlets are attempting to [retaliate against Rock and try and expose any past wrong-doings he may have hidden.] #reallythough?!smh!
That task already seems to be a hard one to complete because everyone and I mean everyone pretty much knows all of what Chris Rock has been through in both his life and career. [Nice try guys!] The actor/comedian also doesn’t seem apologetic to his “offensive” tweet as he has yet to apologize about it. Another thing to note, he also hasn’t made any attempts to delete it from his twitter account, unlike others who have been “chastised” about their reckless tweeting (50 Cent, Amare Stoudemire, Chris Brown, etc).
Anyhoo, hope you all had a great and safe fourth of July!
