Featured NEW MUSIC: Beeda Weeda – “Strip Club (Bedroom)”
In just a few short years, through releasing a string of albums and mixtapes, Beeda Weeda has established himself as one of the most promising rising rappers from the Bay Area. In doing so, he’s also garnered the support of the Bay’s most loved legends, including Too $hort, who has teamed up with Beeda for his latest album, Too $hort Presents: Bass Rock Babies. Today, Beeda is excited to release a new single from that project, “Strip Club (Bedroom).”
The song is built on a beat that Beeda and his producer, Rob-E, made and features vocals and a hook from 1.O.A.K. This isn’t the first time these three have collaborated, and Beeda enjoys the dynamic they all have with each other. “We always work together; we’re like a production team,” describes Beeda. “The three of us did like 75% of the album.” The final result is a club-friendly joint that Beeda Weeda energizes with his high-energy flow, and his desire to give his fans an upbeat track. “My main inspiration for the song was that, with all the negativity in society, I wanted to make something people can party to and just have fun to,” explains Beeda, who goes on to mention he may have had another in influence to the song. “I was also at the strip club the night before I wrote it,” Beeda admits with a laugh.
