Gabrielle Union slated to have own show.

Gabrielle Union is slated to have her own show titled Single Black Female, set to air on BET in the fall. In an interview with JETmag.com, Gabrielle Union states , “I’m really, really excited.” She adds, “We’re still in the casting process, my family and love interest and friends, but for me it’s the first time I’ve ever had my own show and … someone was like, ‘this is a great project; we want Gab to lead it.’ I’ve never had that.”

Union calls the role a “huge, humbling moment,” stating that she and show creator Mara Brock Akil along with her husband are “going to tell the story of her life at work, her life with her family and … her relationship life. Or lack thereof.”
