Travis Porter: From Day 1

Release Date: 05/29/2012

Record Label: RCA Records

Genre: Rap

One word: REALLY?! Now in-case you all didn’t catch the tone of that, it was mixed with both utter-shock and annoyance that this trio of men who make up the group Travis Porter, have an album! Immediately pressing play for Day 1, listeners who like the sound of the down-south hip-hop and artist Soulja Boy, well that’s what you’re going to get here. With comical and interesting track titles such as “Pop a Rubber-band”, and “Wobble”, know that the lyrics are filled with even more foolishness. Take for instance “Pu**y Real Good” ft. 2 Chainz, with the lyrics ‘your hoe is my hoe..’ and whatever else they thought they were saying worth listening to. There’s no need to continue putting this album review nor the reviewer through more scrutiny as it is. This album has surely been denied a VERSED approved pass from day 1!.

Q. Parker: Qgasms Mixape: Chapter 1

Release Date: 05/29/2012

Record Label: unknown

Genre: R&B

So off the bat the former Bad Boy and one-fourth member of the former R&B group 112, Q. Parker makes it clear that with the sound of his voice, he can create “Qgasms”, well preach on then! On deck and working hard on his up-coming solo release, Q. Parker gives listeners a glimpse into his worldly talents of an r&b artist by his own version of both new work and popular re-made tracks from his 112 days. Listeners will appreciate the new sounds of  the very popular “Cupid”, his “Interlude pt. 1” that fans will find very familiar, and other tracks that can’t make you hit the skip button: you just have to listen to each one from beginning to end. However the re-mixed version to “Drink In My Cup” could have done without this  mix-tape, ixnay on the hip-hop tracks Q!  Overall, not bad at all (fans self) for a mix-tape. Mr. Parker raises the anticipation times ten for the “MANual” mix tape or album soon to come. This mix-tape has been VERSED approved.
