Ne-Yo Talks About Missing “Milestones” Because Of Career

It’s the sweetest thing when a parent can be there to witness their little ones take their first steps, say their first words, or just be around them daily; something Neyo can’t say he has the luxury of witnessing because of his demanding career. According to reports, Neyo sat down with ABC’s Good Morning America to talk about the milestones of his children that he doesn’t get the chance to see.

The singer said: “The toughest part for me is not being able to be there as much as I’d like to,– I’m missing milestones as we speak, not that I don’t love being here  with y’all, but my daughter Marilyn just said her first full sentence and I’m not there, so that sucks a little bit.”

Ne-Yo also spoke on his journey of fatherhood as a whole: “It’s really not as difficult as people made it out to be. I expected it to be way harder. My kids are my friends, we cool.”

Neyo and his girlfriend [Monyetta Shaw] have two children together: Madilyn, 20 months, and Mason,10 months.
