Detroit Che

If the name Detroit Che sounds familiar, that’s because there are two connections that goes with the name. Detroit Che hails from the city of Detroit that bred notable rappers like Eminem, Big Sean and newcomer, Dej Loaf. Detroit Che was the 2014 winner of the BET Cypher at the BET Hip Hop Awards with Dee-1, Lil’ Mama, Troy Ave, and Logic.

Now she is taking her winning from the Cypher and plans on going worldwide with her rhymes. She stands out more than your average female rapper today. She is not half naked or has her body injected with silicone shots, rather she remains true to herself, which does not describe half of the rappers who are successful in the game.

VERSED Online sat down to speak with emerging music talent, Detroit Che about her win with the BET Cypher and what kept her motivated to enter the Cypher. She speaks on her battle with depression and how she hopes to inspire those dealing with similar issues and situations, staying true to herself despite the hurdles, connecting with her fans, her hopes to be an inspiration to many listeners and fans, and new music.
