Ferguson officer Darren Wilson gave his first interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos following the ‘no indictment’ decision of the grand jury.

In a preview of the interview, Wilson claims he never shot towards Mike Brown’s back and his shooting was a result of him fearing for his life after Michael Brown reached in his car and went for his gun.

Wilson said that he was sorry that Brown had died, but “he would not do anything differently that day,” according to Stephanopoulos. “He did what he was trained to do. He was simply doing his job.”

The ABC News host asked Wilson if things “would have gone down any differently if Michael Brown were white.”

“Absolutely not,” Wilson reportedly replied, adding that he had a “clean conscience.”
