A look at the actor’s erratic behavior and what made the creator for the hit show cut him off!

Now I’m sure most of us have enjoyed tuning into the hit tv show on CBS; “Two and Half Men”, the series in which actor Charlie Sheen plays Charlie Harper. In 2010 it was reported that the actor was the highest paid actor on television, earning 1.8 million per episode. But alongside watching this legendary actor make us laugh on TV, it seems that there’s always been a problem with Sheen keeping his personal life of-camera. There’s been reports stemming from marital problems, alcohol and drug use and as well as allegations of domestic abuse. #umm get it together please! So the question that’s on top of all our minds I’m sure is, when is enough, enough?!

Last fall in October, while the actor recently completed a stint in rehab, Sheen was reported arrested early in the morning at a New York hotel. The “Two and Half Men” star was in town visiting ex-wife Denise Richards and their two kids. While lounging at the Plaza Hotel where he was staying, Sheen began drinking excessively at around eight pm; at about two am he was found intoxicated, naked, and visibly upset. Sheen thought someone stole his wallet. Police were then called to the scene by hotel security and also the EMT; where the actor was taken to a local hospital for psychological evaluation. Aside from exposing himself and getting drunk, Sheen also caused damage to furniture and a chandelier in his room. A publicist for the actor insists that his client was not drunk but had experienced an allergic reaction to some medications he was taking. #mhhm; thas some medication you got there Chuck!

What makes the situation worse is seeing Sheen battle with substances and anger issues which have long been plastered across magazine covers. In December he was charged with domestic abuse after pulling a knife out at wife Brooke Mueller. He was sentenced to time in rehab and completed a stint at anger management. None of this apparently seems to be working; friends and family have grown tremendously worried about his self-destructive behavior. Mueller, mother of their twins, remains estranged and far apart from the twins father unsurprisingly. Its also been reported that he doesn’t get along with the crew of his TV show for which he paid 1.3 million an episode.

Now nobody could have prevented that his latest stunt when On February 24th 2011, Charlie Sheen called onto several radio shows and TMZ, calling the Executive Producer for Two and a Half Men a clown, that he violently hates his producer and accused him of stealing money from him. CBS called his bluff, and cancelled Two and a Half Men, despite it being television’s most-watched sitcom. Reported in the LA Times; the CBS producers and network issued out a joint statement saying:

“Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of ‘Two and a Half Men’ for the remainder of the season.”

So how did the star react?, It was reported that the actor acted as if his behavior was normal and vowed that he would sue the entire CBS and Warner Brother productions. He was quoted on his interview with TMZ saying “I’m supposed to be out there all humble and asking for my job,” Sheen said during the TMZ chat. “No, I don’t do that. I don’t understand what I did wrong except live a life that everyone is jealous of… I don’t know what I did to piss everyone off so much.”  So now the on-going question I have and I’m sure you VERSED readers can agree is: What’s next for Charlie Sheen and will he ever slow down? In an interview with Today; Sheen said he has big plans for the future with starring roles in both film and TV. He was quoted saying in the interview “I won best picture at 20,” Sheen said, referencing to best picture Oscar winner Platoon, which he filmed when he was just 20 years old. “I wasn’t even trying. I wasn’t even warm.

However I do have a big concern that I wanted to bring forth and that is why is it that he was canned as soon as he started disrespecting the producers and the people attached to the networks? But nothing like his career was said to be in jeopardy when he was displaying carelessness and endangerment to the people both young and adults in his life? It just seemed like nothing of that mattered or concerned them as long as he was making them money. Although I’ll never get my question answered, I believe we all can agree that this man needs serious help and isn’t going to stop acting out until something is done. But to each his own right? So on behalf of the Versed Staff, we wish Mr. Charlie Sheen and his entire family all the good wishes in the world. Be safe yall!
