Is Your Music VERSED Approved?!

A look at newly released albums that got approved or denied!

Wiz Khalifa: Rolling Papers

Release date: 3/29/2011

Record Label: Atlantic Records

Genre: Rap

Well well well so the much anticipated album of Sir Khalifa has finally dropped, the man who’s responsible for the “purp and yellow”  of the super bowl anthem has his head in the clouds literally with tracks such as Roll Up where Khalifa lets it be known that he loves weed and smoking it! Oh yea, and to be a loving, tender friend.  In Hopes and Dream; there is that sound of a pretty much low-key and laid-back setting, a different mode for the rapper. Overall its good that Khalifa does switch things up a bit in terms of subject and style a few times, which makes the album have a nice feel. Not bad on the first try! This album is Versed Approved!

Britney Spears: Femme Fatale

Release Date: 3/29/2011

Record Label: Jive

Genre: Rock

So it seems Ms. Spears has hit us one more time with her another new album stemming from her 2007 Circus. But Im told this album is to be one of her greatest as of yet.  With catchy tracks like Hold It Against Me, Seal It With a Kiss, and Trip To Your Heart. Its looking pretty good  for Brit Brit right now and she’s also all over So lets all be a dear and support this talented woman as she embarks on a journey so big; it’ll surprise not her but us fans also. This album is Versed Approved

Snoop Dogg: Doggumentary

 Release Date: 3/29/2011

Record Label: Doggystle Records

Genre: Rap

Say it with me Versed readers “drop it like it hot, drop it like its hot” #hmm just got an urge to drink sun drop soda! Okay so Snoop is back it again with this doggumentary album with 21 tracks!!! But this album sounds fun; with tracks like Wet which actually reminds me of his Sensual Seduction  and with Something like this Night with its reggae-sound and the up-tempo track Boom ft. T-pain; he’s showing that this album is a banger! #not bad Snoop!  This album I believe should get all four star ratings especially with the promoting and the idea of throwing out a new track starting from January 2011 till when this hott album dropped. Great thinking! I certify this as Versed Approved!

Mint Condition: “7”

Release Date: 4/5/2011

Record Label: Shanachie Records

Genre: r&b

Its been years since we’ve heard or seen from this talented group of men, but here they are 6 years later with a new album and a new single that’s out now titled Caught My Eye and they just finished shooting the video. “It’s going to be a lot of musicality to it…we coming real strong” they have said to a music blog website. The group has also said that the new album touches on all things in life and that it’s about finding truth in music. Although I can’t certify this just yet; I’m sure it’ll be great. We here at Versed can’t wait to hear this new album
